I have seen an increasing number of Tweets from people advertising the address of where they are as well as the badges earned for frequenting a place. It turns out that many of these people are using Foursquare, a mobile application that combines elements from Facebook and Twitter into a social networking tool that lets users find each other via mobile posts and join up at popular places. The application encourages people to explore the cities in which they live and promote local businesses such as restaurants and movie theaters. Read more…
